Coal generator is one of the most basic ways to get power in Voltz, it uses coal and charcoal to provide power at up to ten watts. Beware though it uses a lot of coal and is not a viable source of power once players get a lot of machines, unless players do a lot of mining or have a charcoal factory.

How It WorksEdit

The coal generator has no internal power storage and will only produce power when it is needed, such as when it is hooked up to an empty or partially-empty battery box or machine. When there is no-where for the power to go the generator will stay off and the coal will not be used. When the generator turns on it will say building hull heat for a few seconds and during this time coal will be used but no power will be generated. Then it will start generating, it will show in the GUI how many watts the generator is currently producing, this will continue to rise until no more power is needed (as explained above) or there is no more coal, also it will stop rising once it reaches 10 Kilowatts. This is quite a bit of power and it is most efficient to run the coal generator for a long time at 10 Kilowatts.
